Speaking about her challenges acting miss Pepeye in Papa Ajasco said, “I didn’t have any challenges because it’s something I enjoy doing as an actress. The only thing is maybe the fact that the character is very different from my personality. 100 per cent opposite.

How would you describe your personality?

Very reserved, a kind of an introvert and miss Pepeye is just the opposite.

How were you able to deconstruct your personality and reconstruct a totally different one for miss Pepeye?

That is what makes me a professional actress. I had to interpret the role, I understand the role and I know the role is an outgoing, very crafty, troublesome character and I just had to give them what they wanted.

Was there any pressure carrying out miss Pepeye role as an actress?

I enjoyed every bit of playing miss Pepeye and I never had any pressure. It’s comedy and the fact that when I was reading the script I was laughing most of the time really helped me.

What was the first movie or TV role you played?

I played one TV role but I can’t remember the name. But the one that really built my acting career is Wale Adenuga’s Production Comedy, Papa Ajasco and the company where I played the role of Miss Pepeye. That is actually what gave me the limelight; it launched me into the acting industry.

How much of the evolution of Nollywood do you see in your own trajectory as an actress inside Nollywood?
I believe that everyone is evolving and there are things you need to consider if the industry is growing, you need to add to your own professionalism and the things that can make you able to give them what they need in the industry so you don’t get stereotyped.
You cant be fine where you are, you have to improve yourselves to be able to achieve the level it is now.
