However, Pedro Porro’s stunning solo effort (32nd minute) quickly leveled the score for Tottenham.

The second half saw Spurs dominate, culminating in Van de Ven’s decisive strike in the 82nd minute, securing their crucial win. This victory narrows the gap to four points between Tottenham and Aston Villa, who have a game against Liverpool on Monday night. However, even with a win, Tottenham’s Champions League hopes hinge on Aston Villa’s performance.

For Burnley, the defeat confirms their relegation from the Premier League with one game remaining. Tottenham’s Triumph over Burnley: The match saw both teams with early opportunities, but the breakthrough came from Burnley, with Larsen’s goal. However, Tottenham quickly responded with Porro’s remarkable goal, showcasing their determination.


Despite Burnley’s resilience, Tottenham continued to press in the second half. Burnley had chances, but Tottenham’s defense held firm. Eventually, it was Van de Ven who secured Tottenham’s victory with his well-taken goal.

Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham’s manager, praised his team’s resilience, highlighting their strong finish to the season.

Vincent Kompany, Burnley’s manager, emphasized the need to focus on the future and bounce back from relegation.

Tottenham will face Sheffield United in their final Premier League fixture, while Burnley will host Nottingham Forest.

Additionally, Tottenham will clash with Man City before the season’s end, aiming to secure their Champions League spot.
