With credits to some of Africa Magic’s top soap operas, Ifeanyi Barbara Chidi has marked her territory in the television industry. The screenwriter and producer have worked on fan-favourite projects including Ndani TV’s ‘One Chance’, Africa Magic’s ‘Ajoche’, ‘Hush’, ‘Unbroken’ and ‘Riona’.
Sharing how he found the creative part of her she said, “I’ve always liked writing but the first time I got pulled into that universe was when I saw Amaka Igwe “Checkmate” as a child and I was like, I want to do this.
Give me the opportunity and I will do it but I was quite a nerdy kid so I thought that brilliant people went to science class so I went to science class and I ended up studying Mathematics and Statistics and thinking what am I going to do with this, I ended up working in a stock-booking firm and then one chance meeting with someone who was writing at the time on tinsel, and I was like oh, so this is something viable I can do and I got introduce into that world and years after here I am.”
