Nigerian artiste Burna Boy has just added another international award to his ever-growing award shelf.

 

Burna Boy Wins Best African Act At Mtv Ema’s 2022

At the 2022 MTV European Music Awards that took place yesterday at the PSD Bank Dome in Germany, Burna Boy has crowned the Best African Act.

The self-acclaimed African giant was nominated alongside Tanzania’s Zuchu, Nigeria’s Tems and Ayra Starr, South Africa’s Musa Keyz, and Ghana’s Black Sheriff.

This is, however not the first time Burna would be winning this category, as he also received the award in 2019 after an eventful year.

Tems who was also nominated for the Best New Act category lost the award to Seventeen who also won the award for Best Push.

Other winners of the night include Taylor Swift who won Best Artiste, Best Video and Best Longform Video for ‘All too Well’ and Best Pop.

BTS won the Biggest fans category, Sam Smith won Video for Good with his video ‘Unholy’ which features Kim Petras, Chloe won Best R&B, Nicki Minaj won Best Hip Hop and Best song with ‘Super freaky Girl’, Harry Styles won Best Live while David Guetta won Best Electronic and Best collaboration with ‘I’m Good’ which he did with Bebe Rexha.
