Islamic clerics charge politicians on transparency

Missioner of Alfatihu Qareeb Muslim organisation, Kehinde Tijani and Chief Imam of Modinat Tijaniyat Muslim society, Ketu Alapere, Babatunde Yusuf-Arikewuyo have charged Nigerian politicians to emulate the honesty, transparency and the fear of God of prophet Mohammed in their dealings.

The Islamic clerics disclosed this on Sunday during their celebration of Maolud Nabiyyi, the birth of the prophet of Islam.

They said Nigeria is in this rot due to greed and lack of fear of God by most especially leaders who only acquire the country’s wealth for themselves, their family and their generation unborn.
