Sean Diddy Combs Moves to Dismiss Portions of Sexual Assault Lawsuit

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is moving to dismiss parts of a civil lawsuit concerning allegations of sexual assault and ‘revenge porn’. His legal team filed a motion in a New York court, citing procedural concerns with the lawsuit brought against Combs and his company, Bad Boy Records, by Joi Dickerson-Neal. She claims she was drugged and assaulted by Combs in 1991, shortly after appearing in a music video with him. The suit also alleges that Combs filmed the assault and shared it with others.

Combs’ spokesperson previously labeled the allegations as baseless and motivated by financial gain. In the recent motion, Combs’ attorneys reiterated this stance, characterizing Dickerson-Neal’s claims as false and seeking dismissal of certain parts of the suit. They argue that some allegations were brought under statutes that were not applicable at the time of the alleged incidents and that claims against Combs’ company should be dismissed since it did not exist at the time.

This legal action is just one of several civil suits Combs has faced since November, all denying any wrongdoing on his part. Additionally, federal authorities executed search warrants at Combs’ properties in Los Angeles and Miami as part of an ongoing investigation into sex trafficking allegations, a move criticized by Combs’ attorney as excessive.
