Medical laboratory scientists in Nigeria have called for more funding for government health institutions in the country.
Gathered at the closing ceremony and dinner for the 51st Annual scientific conference in Lagos the health practitioners noted that the week long conference provided them the opportunity to brainstorm on new ways that the spread of infectious diseases can be combated in the face of a population explosion.
They added that as a matter of urgency government needs to begin to pay more attention to bringing Nigerian medical laboratories up to par with global practise.
The event also provided the health practitioners an opportunity to unwind.
