FIFA to continue paying banned Blatter

FIFA Post Congress Week Press ConferenceTVC E, SPORTS – Suspended  FIFA President, Sepp Blatter may have been banned for eight years from the game, he is still receiving salary from world football governing body.

Blatter was suspended for 90 days by FIFA on October the 8th, 2015 and then banned from the game for eight years last month for ethics violations over a two million dollars payment FIFA made to European football chief Michel Platini with Blatter’s approval.

But spokesman for FIFA’s Audit and Compliance Committee, Andreas Bantel says the Swiss will continue to be paid until a new president is elected on February the 26th.

The compensation sub-committee of FIFA’s Audit and Compliance Committee recently ruled that it could stop Blatter’s bonuses but not his salary.
