At 16 years old, Bieber released his debut studio album My World 2.0 (2010), which contained the hit single “Baby“. The album debuted atop the US Billboard 200, making Bieber the youngest solo male act to top the chart in 47 years. Bieber had quickly established himself as a teen Sensation, and was loved majorly by teenagers around the world.
Bieber faced several controversies for his rebellious nature and received a lot of backlash. In his recent interview with GQ magazine he talked about how he found peace which is shown in the new music, the inspirational messages he shares on Instagram. The deliberately calm manner in which he goes about his days, all of it he addressed to his younger self – the kid who was drowning and felt like he’d never be saved.
Justin Bieber wants to save that kid now, he wants to talk to him. He wants to tell him not all hope is lost, Justin tells Zach Baron.
“I don’t want to let my shame of my past dictate what I’m able to do now for people,” Bieber says.
“A lot of people let their past weigh them down, and they never do what they want to do because they think that they’re not good enough. But I’m just like: ‘I did a bunch of stupid shit. That’s okay. I’m still available. I’m still available to help. And I’m still worthy of helping.’ ”
Bieber Mentioned in his interview with GQ that faith is another reason why he seems to be in a better place these days.
God “is grace,” he said. “Every time we mess up, he’s picking us back up every single time. That’s how I view it. And so it’s like, ‘I made a mistake. I won’t dwell in it. I don’t sit in shame. But it actually makes me want to do better.’
Speaking about marriage, the 27-year-old husband says he is in a very happy state, he is happily married to a woman who cares for him like no one has ever cared for him. He is currently renovating the house in which he will live happily with his wife.
To top it all off Bieber releases a powerful gospel album called Freedom, an EP about faith.
