Kevin Spacey refutes fresh allegations of inappropriate conduct, which are set to be featured in an upcoming UK documentary. The incidents in question allegedly occurred between 1976 and 2013 and involve claims of unwanted sexual behavior.
The renowned Hollywood actor, who has been acquitted of sexual assault charges in both the United States and Britain, expressed his response to the accusations in an interview with UK journalist Dan Wootton. Spacey emphasized that he will no longer remain silent in the face of these allegations.
The documentary, titled “Spacey Unmasked,” is scheduled to air across two parts next week, where ten individuals unrelated to the UK legal proceedings against Spacey accuse him of misconduct. According to Spacey, these incidents, as described by the accusers, span several decades.
Among those speaking out is former actor Ruari Cannon, who alleges inappropriate touching by Spacey in 2013 when Cannon was 21 years old. However, Spacey vehemently denies any unlawful behavior, asserting that while he takes responsibility for his past actions, he will not apologize for or acknowledge fabricated or exaggerated claims.
Spacey addressed the notion that some individuals may have sought to exploit relationships with him for career advancement but stated that such intentions were never communicated to him. He further expressed frustration at the impact of these allegations on his career, describing it as a “life sentence.”
The actor’s career has faced significant setbacks since allegations of sexual misconduct emerged in 2017 amid the #MeToo movement. Despite legal victories, Spacey contends that the damage to his professional reputation has been profound.
