Regrettably, the acclaimed artist is pausing her busy schedule due to a vocal infection that has confined her to bed.
On October 17, 2023, Tiwa Savage took to her Instagram to share the news that she’s been grappling with a vocal ailment, and her medical professionals have advised her to temporarily step away from performing.
Addressing her loyal Savage Soldiers, she revealed, “I’ve been combatting an illness for the past few weeks and have now been strongly advised to observe complete vocal rest for the next several months.”
On 15 July 2022, Tiwa Savage received an honorary degree from the University of Kent during a graduation ceremony at Canterbury Cathedral. She was awarded a doctor in music award for her inspirational and international career in music. Savage delivered an acceptance speech at the ceremony and sang a rendition of “Optimistic” by Sounds of Blackness.
