Popular Nigerian Singer, Simisola Kosoko popularly known as Simi has revealed how she met the love of her life, Adekunle Gold.
Simi shared their beautiful love story in a recent interview with Beat FM.
She revealed that her husband, Adekune Gold has always been a fan right from when she was a gospel music artiste and he had sent numerous messages on Facebook which she ignored.
They eventually met physically when Adekunle Gold came to support her at a show she performed at after which he approached her as a fan to express his admiration.
According to Simi, she became friends with her husband because she was attracted to his kindness and she mentioned that he was persistent in getting her attention.
The celebrity couple dated for five years and eventually got married in 2019.
She said:
“I don’t remember how we eventually linked up again. I had a show Bogobiri, and he turned up. He was very slim at that time with white BYC and jeans. He came to see me perform. I was like, ‘Oh hey! He was like, ‘Oh! I’m such a fan.’ And I was like, ‘Okay!’ (laughs).
“I don’t know, he must have been persistent because there is a friendship that came out from there. I thought he was a really nice guy. We became friends and later that year, he asked me out.”
