How long have you been in the Movie Industry?

I have been in the industry for quite some time and it’s been a long journey. Nobody ever believed I was going to be where I am today. I remember when I use to go for auditions, but it’s fun and like I always tell people, nobody can make you a star, it’s just something that is there.

When God says it’s your time, it’s your time. You might do the most irrelevant thing and blow up so it’s not about what you did, it’s about what is destined to be.

A lot of the statements you make against your colleagues, are there based on how you feel or are you just playing to the gallery?

Everything I say is 100 per cent true and that’s why when people say I am controversial because my definition of controversial is when people see you saying things that people are not saying, they say oh you’re controversial.

Everything I have said about my colleagues and others is true because I don’t make false accusations. I do my diligent work and I make sure I get the fact.

What did the emergence of social media do to your career as an actor?

I believe sometimes it’s not what you do on screen that matters it’s what you do off the screen and you need to balance it. I know so many people who have been into acting and were more popular even before I came in but you need to understand that sometimes you need to get out of the acting space and get into the social space because the social space is the new normal.

To me, I felt I wasn’t making any real money in acting because truly there’s no money in there.

I will not lie to you, listen to me, I have said it before and I will say it again, any male actor that is below 37 years of age that comes out and say he bought a mansion, I can tell you its a lie, its a big lie because they do not make that much.

What’s the average an actor makes in Nollywood?

It varies, some get paid, 500k, some get paid 400k and some 1million plus. It depends on the project and sometimes these projects don’t come as often as you think.

Somebody will sign an endorsement deal with someone and they will pay them probably 6 million. They will come on social media with a paper that nobody is seeing and then say “Just signed a 30 million deal” meanwhile some are even signing a 1 million naira deal.

This industry is a fake life industry that is why I called the EFCC to check them because people are smuggling drugs in this industry.

An actress can buy a mansion and we know people can sponsor it. Most of these actresses in Nollywood I can tell you 90 per cent of them are not different from those who are on Allen avenue.

The only difference is that they have a script and camera. In short, some people on Allen avenue are even more decent because they will not stoop low to do some of the things our actresses do.

What brought about this side of you we see on social media?

I felt some people are putting so much pressure on those who don’t know.  What do I mean by that?

We are colleagues, we started acting together and all of a sudden you buy a range over 30 million and then you’re telling me that you got the money from acting and if don’t know well, I will start getting depressed because I probably might be acting better than you and maybe ending more than you.

I don’t have an issue if you say, I got that money from so-so places or businesses but when you lie that you got it from acting that everybody is in, are you acting for ghosts or the gods?

There is so much fake lifestyle in this industry and somebody has to speak out because they are misleading the youth.

What should your fans expect from you?

What I want to tell my fans is that we are in the election period, go out and cast your vote and you need to do it to satisfy your conscience.

To actresses and other people, please stop jumping from one married man’s bed to the other. I saw one last week in Eko Hotel with a married man and that married man’s wife just gave birth and the girl is jumping from bedroom to bedroom and just breaking homes.
