What The New Series Berlin on Netflix Entails (VIDEO)

The trailer shows an intricate model of a bank, from which a man in a red sweater removes a crimson gem. Fans will recognize the handsome thief as his attention is distracted by footsteps, and he returns to the model to study a tiny paper figure of a woman.

For those that have not heard of the Spanish series Money Heist (aka La Casa de Papel), the movie follows a mysterious criminal mastermind known only as the Professor as he recruits a sexy band of thieves (each code-named after a city). Running for five seasons, it was a huge hit on Netflix and won an Emmy in 2018.

Andrés de Fonollosa, better known by his code name Berlin, is one of the main characters in the Netflix series Money Heist, portrayed by actor Pedro Alonso.

He is the second-in-command of the Royal Mint of Spain heist, but also planned the Bank of Spain heist years prior, which he shared with The Professor and Palermo.

When he was young, his mother had a relationship with another man which resulted in the birth of his half-brother, the Professor.

Before joining the Robbers of The Royal Mint of Spain, Berlin was a jewel thief, with twenty-seven robberies to his name of jewellery stores, auction houses, and armoured vehicles.

His biggest theft, before the Royal Mint of Spain, was 434 diamonds in Champs-Élysées, Paris. He was later diagnosed with Helmer’s Myopathy.
