Is Marriage An Achievement? See Shocking Revelation

Marriage as we all know is a legally and socially sanctioned union, usually between a man and a woman, that is regulated by laws, rules, customs, beliefs, and attitudes that prescribe the rights and duties of the partners and accords status to their offspring (if any).

But is marriage an achievement? Well, according to relationship expert, Toju Oluwatoyinbo it is in some sort of way because if you look at what the definition of achievement is, the marriage falls in that category.

Britannica Dictionary definition of ACHIEVEMENT is something that has been done or achieved through effort: a result of hard work.
Marriage to so many is an accomplishment as that is the goal they set to achieve so to those people, it’s fair to say it is an achievement.
A marriage is worked upon by two people for years. They share joys and sorrows, they share children and they share what they believe in – and all this takes effort and commitment and compromise, and hence, becomes a worthy feat.
According to ToJu, people who have had bad marriages before, hurtful relationships, absent fathers, or parents whose marriages didn’t work can say “Marriage is not an achievement to them because you can’t build a puzzle base on a picture you haven’t seen and if the puzzle is fractured, you will see life like that.
Many years ago, the only way for a woman to secure her life was to get married to a decent man who would look after her. But today, when men and women stand equal and ladies can pay their bills and look after themselves.
Though we need to regress back to living the way we did when we exercised no rights, the fact that it’s an achievement for so many shouldn’t be overlooked.
