Bolanle Raheem, the assassinated attorney, was buried Friday in the Lagos neighbourhood of Lekki Epe at the Vaults and Gardens (Mayfair) cemetery amid weeping.

This occurred following the funeral procession at the Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos State Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Olive Tree Parish.
In his sermon, the former Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Okechukwu Enelamah said Raheem’s “relatively short life” was filled with great impact.
The circumstances surrounding her death, he acknowledged, had sparked widespread emotions that would result in social reforms.
“Once again, we’ve lost a member, a very, very active member of our branch. A colleague and we only pray that her soul finds rest and that the family will be consoled by the Almighty,” said Ikechukwu Uwanna, chairman of Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Lagos Branch during the church service.
The funeral service was attended by a number of luminaries, including the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Ibrahim Obanikoro, candidate for the Eti-Osa federal constituency, in addition to family members and attorneys.
In a tweet after the service, Obanikoro said: “I attended the late Bolanle Raheem’s funeral service. May God comfort her family and friends. May the days of the rest of us be healthy and long.”
Bolanle, 41-year-old, was a property lawyer with over 10 years of call-to-bar experience. She was brutally murdered by a trigger-happy Police Officer on a stop and search duty in the Ajah area of Lagos.
Vandi the police officer was charged with one count of murder on Monday and was arraigned before Justice Ibironke Harrison of the Lagos State High Court at Tafawa Balewa Square, TBS.
The prosecution was led by the Lagos Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo, SAN.
