Google has released the year-end list for 2022 and we couldn’t but help notice that some Nigerian acts made it to the list this year.
Kizz Daniel & Tekno’s ‘Buga’ happens to be one of the biggest songs out of Africa in 2022 as it went across borders and captivated listeners from different age groups across multiple countries.
That song has now emerged as the most searched song in Nigeria on Google in 2022 which is a testament to its appeal and commercial success.
This list also features ‘Overdose’ by Mavins, Crayon, Ayra Starr, Ladipoe, Magixx and Boy Spyce, the controversial ‘Machala’ song by Carter Efe featuring Berry Tiga and Kizz Daniel’s Cough (Odo) amongst other hit songs.
Oxlade has also enjoyed a great 2022 with his song ‘Kulosa’ which has also enjoyed impressive success across Europe and America after being propelled by TikTok.
Due to this, Oxlade emerged as the most Googled artiste in Nigeria in 2022 as millions of people are trying to find information about the artiste behind the hit single.
This could also be a result of his leaked sex tape in February 2022 which made the artiste trend and his name also became a verbal slang.
The list also features sensational artists like Asake who has enjoyed a stellar 2022, Ghanaian Hip-Hop star, Black Sherif, and Nigeria’s Portable who is known for his controversial social media antics.
