One of the greatest obstacles preventing you from waking up, making the proper choices, and leading the life you’ve imagined is procrastination.
A procrastinator is someone who repeatedly and unnecessarily postpones decisions or actions.
For example, if a person repeatedly delays working on assignments until right before their deadline for no reason, even though they know that it would be better for them to start earlier, that person is a procrastinator
According to recent studies, people regret not doing things more than they regret doing them. In addition, people tend to carry regret and shame for far longer after missing out on possibilities.
Procrastination can be linked to
- Depression,
- Anxiety
- Low self-esteem
- ADHD,
- Poor study habits.
Procrastination is connected to negative functioning and risks to mental health.
People who procrastinate tend to have high levels of anxiety as well as poor impulse control. Procrastination is even linked to physical illness
