Where do you get your major style inspiration for your women’s wear?

I get my major inspiration from women. I am more particular about women because when it comes to Nigeria, women are less conservative in fashion than men and I am a very artistic person. The woman’s body is like a canvas for me where I get to do anything I want to do and still make it wearable.

I find a way to translate art into wearable fashion. Most of my dresses can be worn on different occasions

Have you ever been tempted to go international or do you just want to stick to African fabrics?

I always find a way to have a mix of both. To be able to use African inspiration and interpret it in such a  way is consumable internationally and globally and that’s what I want to do.

How did it all start for you?

Right from when I was a child, I use to play with dolls and I will hand stitch dresses on them and I used to sketch.

In my first year at University, there was this classmate of mine that saw some of my sketches in my book and was like, ‘Ejoro you can actually pursue this’ and then, it was just a hoppy for me, It wasn’t something I thought I would pursue in the future so she told me she was planning to organize a fashion show with her fiancee and ask if I would love to join and I was like yeah.

That was how I was able to put together my first collection for the fashion show.
