Rihanna stays winning, and this time due to her multiple business ventures, she has emerged as the youngest self-made billionaire in America according to Forbes.
The 34-year-old new mum made the Forbes’ annual list of America’s richest self-made women for the third year in a row, ranking 21st overall, as she’s the only billionaire under 40 on the list after accumulating a net worth of one point four billion dollars.
The next-youngest billionaire on the Forbes list is forty-one-year-old Kim Kardashian, who has a net worth of one point eight billion dollars.
According to Forbes, other than Rihanna’s success in music, she has created an empire for herself in the beauty industry with her Fenty Beauty, Fenty Skin, and Savage X Fenty.
As for her status as a self-made billionaire, Forbes has given Rihanna a “self-made score” of ten, a ranking the outlet explains ranges from one to ten, which indicates how much of one’s fortune they have inherited or built on their own.
A ranking of one through five indicates “someone who inherited some or all of his or her fortune,” while scores six through ten “are for those who built their company or established a fortune on his or her own”.
RiRi is said to be Barbados’ first billionaire and in April, was announced as the world’s richest female musician.
Other familiar names that were listed on Forbes’ Richest Self-Made Women list include Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Serena Williams, and many others.
