Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, has said she is prepared to be Deputy Governor of Rivers State, noting that she has never failed in leadership.
The actress is the running mate to the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress in Rivers, Tonte Ibraye, for the 2023 general elections.

Speaking with the Ladies of ‘Your View’ on TVC on Thursday, Dikeh said, I would like to say that i have worked critically with my governorship candidate and he has worked closely with me.
“One thing he has been able to achieve that other people haven’t is the sincere heart and passion i have for change in the country.
“Nevertheless, it is a plus that i am who i am and that would actually add substance and poised to the campaign and the party.
“Mr Tonte picked me because he knew how passionate i am for change, he knows how loyal i am for change and he knows that i am one of the best people for that job.
“I am not coming into the office as a celebrity, i am coming as a citizen, as a youth who is saying i am tired and i want to be inclusive in active policy.
“I want women to come out and have a say in happens in their country and how they leave their lives. I am here today because this is my passion.
“I want to be able to have a voice not through sitting down and lunging in my couch but actually being in the field and working for my people.”
When asked what her personal relationship with the incumbent governor of Rivers State, Wike was like she said,
“He is our no1 citizen and i do believe he has a personal relationship with my father and my family, some people might say he’s my uncle but i will just like to see him as the no1 citizen of Rivers State.
On critical question about if Wike supports her embition so far’, Tonto said,
“Wike has never being supportive to me in any form or way but that not a problem because it is the people who know you that would ignore that you can shine until other people support you for you to grow.
“I do not take it personal, he just doesn’t know what i am capable of”. she added
