Transportation in Lagos is a big deal as there are different factors that affect movement and the price of transportation.

Factors like the weather, traffic and availability of fuel but that is not our focus.

We have all had experiences with public transportation at one point or the other and there are people I’m sure you would never forget every time you alight at your preferred bus stop.

Today, let’s talk about 5 DIFFERENT PEOPLE YOU WILL FIND ON PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION.

  1. SHIFT FOR ME/BODY ODOUR

The seat is never comfortable for these ones. They would always ask you to shift even if there is enough space for two people either because they want to see what you are doing on your mobile device or they enjoy being in people’s spaces and like to push people.

It’s worse when it happens after rush hour as they are already sweating with body odor filling the air.

  1. I NO GET CHANGE

Has anyone asked you recently, “Do you have loose change?” Na them be that.

There is always an issue between these people and the conductor because they never have change and they always pay five hundred naira or a thousand naira for a fare of fifty or hundred naira.

These people are strategic as they know there is always a good Samaritan who will offer to pay.

  1. TOASTERS

Once they see someone in skirt, they try to strike a conversation. Everybody is a fine girl and they would always support or contribute to whatever she has to say, just because they want to toast her to get her number, but most of them would turn their face once payment begins.

Some even wait till after the fare is paid.

  1. PREACHERS & SELLERS

There is always a preacher or someone selling something in every vehicle.

If there is not one disease that can be easily cured with supposedly cheap medicine which I don’t advice, there will be a preacher reminding you of how to be a good Christian.

  1. NOISEMAKERS

Everything that happens is their business especially when it does not concern them. They can argue from now to infinity and would never see reason with any other person even when they are wrong.

Their shouting bouts always ends in curses or threats being made. There are also those whose private calls become public.
