Actor turned politician, Desmond Elliot, was under fire in 2019 for allegedly inaugurating toilets in his constituency in Surulere, Lagos State.
Desmond sheds more light on the story about the ‘Bridge Construction’ and the ‘Toilet Inauguration’.
According to Desmond, during the Covid period, a young girl had died in the canal, he and his team were called and they saw the mum crying that she was her only child. With nothing to do to help that day they left.
They later got another call that they’ve found they girls body at Shitta, he went with some of his team members and they noticed that it was just one line to cross the canal and most people younger than him refused to cross it.
The community pleaded with him and begged him to help fix the bridge and he gave them money to do it. They requested for 800 thousand Naira.
Out of gratitude, the community decided to put his picture and that was without his instructions.
