Media personality, Omotunde Adebowale David popularly known as Lolo 1 or Adaku of Jenifa’s Diary joined the TVC ‘ Wake Up Nigeria’ show for a quick chat.  She talked about her career transition from law to media and lots more.

Lolo 1 is a Nigerian celebrity who wears many hats. She is an OAP, Actress, Lawyer, MC, Comedienne, and Event Consultant

Adaku started as a lawyer, she practised for three years, as a matter of fact, she loved the delivery in court and the drama but she didn’t like the academic work so much so she decided to move to the media.

She moved from Radio Nigeria to Wazobia, became the general manager for Lasgidi FM for two years before quitting radio

 

Lolo’s Impact In Pidgin Broadcasting

Lolo who loves to be at the beginning of new things has had people using her pidgin in theses and she as a case study.

Lolo contributed to the creation of pidgin words that are now part of our everyday language.

Pidgin to Lolo is English in its lowest form. She created them so people can buy into them and put more reflection of them in them.

Well, you can’t help being a Nigerian. In the movie industry, once you start in a comic role and people like it, they seem to put you in that box. I intentionally started producing indigenous films in Yoruba for people to know that there’s a lot more I can do.
