The ELOY Awards press conference took place on Wednesday, October 31, 2019 at The Boardwalk, Victoria Island, Lagos. It was an interactive and enlightening time with the ELOY team, stakeholders as well as members of the press.
Mrs. Tewa Onasanya, the founder and convener of Exquisite Lady of the Year (ELOY) Awards spoke about the motivation behind the continuous push to do better yearly since the first year which is to encourage women to be the best versions of themselves and bear in mind that they can achieve anything they set their mind to. She also mentioned that the ELOY team looks beyond the entertainment industry to select nominees; they give a bird’s eye view into all sectors to choose women who have been outstanding all through the ELOY year, which is the August of the previous year to the August of the current year.
In attendance were also representatives from the event sponsors, Martini and Lush Hair who expressed their delight in being a part of ELOY awards as they have been doing for some years. These brands are all about empowerment and celebratory moments and that is why they have come on board with Exquisite Magazine.
Lush hair is sponsoring the category of Best Hair Stylist of the year and will be awarding a special package to the winner.
Mrs Tewa Onasanya further implored the public to be present at the ELOY conference set to take place on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at The Muson Center, Lagos. There will be panel sessions, master classes, presentations and a business pitch competition where the winner will be awarded a 1 million Naira grant. The ELOY Conference is a free for all event that promises to be enlightening for all female entrepreneurs.
The prestigious ELOY Awards that is set to hold on Sunday, November 24, 2019 and it promises to be a night of pomp and pageantry as well as a night of recognizing the most amazing women out of Africa.
