Warri refinery currently shut due to technical fault – NNPC

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) on Wednesday stated that it had shut down the Warri refinery, due to some technical issues surrounding its operation, Leadership reports.

Chief operating officer, Refineries, NNPC, Mr. Anibor Kragha, disclosed this while speaking at the Nigerian Oil & Gas Conference & International Exhibition holding in Abuja. He stated that only the Port Harcourt and Kaduna refineries are working, stressing both refineries are currently operating below their installed capacity.

He said that the two refineries are producing about five million litres of Automotive Gasoline Oil (AGO), as well as Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), and Household Kerosene (HHK). He stated that in January 2017, all the four refineries were working, until a few days ago, when the Warri refinery was shut down due to some technical faults.
