The Osun State Police Command has donated food items and other gifts worth thousands of naira to a private school in the state. The secondary school is a tuition-free institution established by Oba Adedokun Abolarin, the Orangun of Oke Ila in Ifedayo local government to assist indigent but brilliant students acquire education.
Osun state Commissioner of Police, Olafimihan Adeoye said the gifts are meant to encourage the traditional ruler not to relent in his effort to give hope to the hopeless.
He noted that taking the kids off the street is also part of crime prevention.
