TVC E. The Rivers state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has called on Governor Nyesom Wike to emulate his Edo state counterpart, Governor Adams Oshiomhole.
The party Chairman, Chief Davies Ikanya, said Edo is not as buoyant as Rivers, but it does not owe its workers.
This is coming on the heels of a verbal exchange between Wike and Oshiomhole, following allegations that the Rivers Governor planned to disrupt the Edo elections.
Speaking further, Ikanya said “Wike has a lot to learn from Edo; the government does not only pay her workers but went ahead to increase the minimum wage from N18,000 to N25,000.
“Edo is a state that is not economically viable like Rivers but Oshiomhole does not owe workers while Wike is yet to pay workers for several months.”
Governor Adams Oshiomhole also accused Wike of giving N2b to the Edo PDP governorship candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
