The Academic Staff Union of Universities of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta has dissociated itself from the rumoured call for the sack of the institution’s Vice chancellor, Professor Olusola Oyewole and other members of the Governing Council.
The union made this known while briefing journalists about the recent crisis rocking the institution.
Speaking about the position of the union, ASUU chairman FUNAAB chapter, Dr. Adebayo Oni, noted that the VC and the council were duly appointed in line with the laws establishing the university and could not be removed from office by fiat or crookedness without following due process.
The union passed vote of confidence in the leadership of the Vice Chancellor and other management team of the institution.
