Germany’s financial capital, Frankfurt, turned into the country’s art capital as more than seventy five hundred musicians gathered to perform at the local soccer stadium.
The event, organised by 28-year-old trumpeter and music teacher, Yens Illemann also broke the world record for assembling the world’s largest orchestra, a dream he had nursed for some time.
Apart from planning and finding a suitable location, another challenge was where to seat musicians.
According to organisers of the event called “We are filling the Stadium,” the previous record was reached in Australia in 2013 when seven thousand two hundred twenty four musicians played together for at least five minutes.
