Ogun state govt. appeals to residents to keep environmental laws

In commemoration of the world environment day, Ogun state government has appealed to residents to continue to abide by the environmental rules and keep the standard provided by government.

The commissioner for environment in the state, Bolaji Oyeleye made this know while highlighting the dangers surrounding violation of environmental standard.

He noted that Nigeria is not immune to the effect of climate change and all hands must be on deck in ensuring that people live in a safe environment.

He condemned the indiscriminate dumping of refuse in the drainage and on the road median, urging people to be conscious of their environment.

On noise pollution, the commissioner appealed to religious organisations to keep their speakers low during their prayers.
