TVC E. Hawkers in Maryland have lamented over the death of one of their colleagues who died while trying to escape
being arrested by KAI officials.
Confusion held sway in Maryland today Wednesday afternoon after a 22 year old sunglasses hawker Nnamdi was killed by a trailer while trying to escape from the grasp of a KAI official.
Following Nnamdi’s demise angry hawkers blocked the roads and started destroying BRT buses plying the axis.
Some of them who spoke to TVC. News expressed disgust over the exploitation by KAI officials .
Bystanders also condemned the act stating that the harsh economic realities have rendered many unemployed and rather than consider crime many take to hawking.
When TVC News visited the KAI office in Alausa we met with the Commander who declined to comment.
