After seven weeks of intense competition, Uriel Oputa is the first Nigerian contestant to get evicted from the Top Actor Africa show.
The eviction came after contestants received their biggest challenge since the show began, a complex crime drama short film, separated into three scenes (crime scene, crime lab and courtroom trial).
The episode also featured a surprise appearance from Jay Ellis (BET’s The Game), who served as a mentor to the contestants and guest judge.
Contestants were once again handed a curve ball as Jesse and Ifeanyi’s roles got switched at the last minute.
Following Uriel’s exit, Ifeanyi Dike and Tobechi Nnaji are the two Nigerians left on the show, alongside Shamilla Miller (South Africa), Alex Khayo (Kenya) and Jesse Suntele (South Africa).
Season two of the reality show which premiered on March 1, kicked off with twelve contestants from Kenya, South Africa, and Nigeria.
The three Nigerians: Radio presenter Tobechi Nneji, upcoming musician Uriel Oputa and TV actor Ifeanyi Dike were Nigerians were selected after auditioning for the show last year.
