Senate condemns wave of Fulani herdsmen attacks

The Senate has  condemned in the strongest terms, the invasion of communities by Fulani militias in Enugu state and other parts of Nigeria.

The federal lawmakers have now directed service chiefs and security personnel in affected communities to urgently implement President Muhammadu Buhari’s marching orders to arrest or confront the attackers.

The Senate’s resolution followed a motion by Senator Chukwuka Utazi over Monday’s killings in Nimbo community in Enugu state.

The Senate also observed a minute’s silence in memory of victims of alleged herdsmen attacks all over the country.
