ITTF: Nigeria beat Tunisia to second place

PIC.10. NIGERIA JUNIOR TABLE TENNIS PLAYERS GOING FOR THE INTERNATIONAL TABLE-TENNIS FEDERATION (ITTF) CADET CHAMPIONSHIP/ AFRICAN CHAMPIONSHIP IN TUNISIA DEPARTS ON TUESDAY.

The 2016 ITTF African Junior & Cadet Championship was concluded on Tuesday in Algiers with Nigeria finishing second behind Egypt in the overall medal table.

The seven day tournament had 12 countries in attendance but Egypt dominated the team, singles and doubles events and claimed the 15 gold medals at stake.

Nigeria amassed four silver and four bronze medals with a six-man team while Congo Brazzaville with nine players finished third.

Egypt and Nigeria qualified their boys and girls teams for the 2016 ITTF World Junior Championship holding in Cape Town, South Africa in November
