Nigeria’s economy got a needed boost, with China agreeing to a strategic partnership, that will see further Chinese investments in Africa’s biggest economy.
China’s President, Xi Jinping told visiting President Muhammadu Buhari, that with 2016 marking the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between both countries, there was a lot, in terms of mutually beneficial cooperation, for the two countries to explore.
President Buhari assured his host of ensuring strict compliance with agreements, signed by both countries, as Nigeria explores cooperation with China in key development sectors, to boost the economy.
And president Xi assured that his country is willing to support Nigeria, to solve problems in infrastructure construction, manpower and capital shortage.
Both presidents witnessed the signing of agreements in infrastructure construction, investment, aviation, technology and finance.
