Senate to amend Social Insurance Trust Fund bill

TVC E, NEWS – Unemployed, aged and other vulnerable members of the Nigerian society are to enjoy social safety nets soon following the Senate’s move to amend a bill meant to back President Muhammadu Buhari’s policy on conditional cash transfer scheme.

The bill sponsored by Senator Suleiman Nazif seeks to amend the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund to cater for all class of Nigerians instead of focusing on the working class alone.

Senator Nazif said the bill is part of the red chamber’s efforts to support the President Buhari’s administration to deliver on its campaign promises.
