At the second edition of the AMVCA in  2014, the actress emerged the Best Actress in a comedy for her role in ‘The Return Of Sheri Koko’, and two years after, she received an award in the same category, making her the first actress to win in the same category twice.

This is not the first time Funke is making history, as she was the first and still remains the only actress from the Yoruba arm of Nollywood to have won the AMAA awards for Best Actress with her role in Jenifa.
