TVC E, SPORTS – Nigeria’s interim coach Samson Siasia has given up in his bid to lure keeper Vincent Enyeama and Emmanuel Emenike back from international retirement.
Both players quit the Super Eagles last October after falling out with former coach Sunday Oliseh.
With Oliseh’s resignation last Friday, Siasia asked the duo to reconsider but they have rejected the idea of a return to the Super Eagles.
The coach is expected to name the Eagles’ squad for the game against Egypt this week.
Meanwhile, Zambian referee Janny Sikazwe will be in the centre when the Super Eagles play the Pharaohs of Egypt.
Daniel Bennet of South Africa will take charge of the return leg on March 29th.
