Mavin act Reekado Banks has put paid to the debate on whether he is a much better artist than Starboy boss, Wizkid.
There had been a fierce argument between the two singers’ fans on social media on Thursday on who was the better musician.
But Reekado has come out to state that there was no basis for comparisons because Wizkid is his mentor.
He took to Twitter and wrote:
“Let me clear the air real quick. Wizkid isn’t only my mentor but one of the GREATS who have paved way for the young ones like me,” Reekado Banks tweeted on Thursday.
“Please dont disrespect Wizkid by comparing him to me wey just dey start abeg,” he added.
This is not the first time the ‘Chop Am’ crooner is being compared to other artistes.
After winning the Next Rated category at the Headies in January by beating the likes of Lil Kesh and Kiss Daniel, Reekado’s fans took to social media to compare him with the YBNL act.
