Customs Service warns Nigerians against car fraudsters

TVC E, BUSINESS – The Nigerian Customs Service has warned Nigerians to be wary of fraudsters who adopt car auction sales on the internet to defraud them.

They have been cautioned against believing any adverts of Customs auctioned vehicles on any of the social media platform.

TVC News Correspondent, Ifunanya Eze reports that on daily basis, social media platforms are besieged with various adverts and sales promotion for cars that were allegedly seized and auctioned by the Nigeria Customs Service.

The items often on offer include automobiles and vehicle spare parts among others, and always at a very ridiculously low price.

Investigations reveal that fraudsters have flooded the Nigerian Online Space and are on every major car websites with free listings.

Many Nigerians have no doubt fallen victims to these internet scammers.

But the Nigeria Customs Service has issued a word of caution. The Service maintains that it can never advertise car sales or auctions on the internet.

He also advised Nigerians to always seek clarification from any customs command.

Nigerians are hereby urged to disregard any of such online car sales adverts and see them for what they really are…internet thieves.
