Supreme Court upholds Reverend King’s death sentence

TVC E, NEWS – The Supreme Court has affirmed the death penalty by hanging in the case of Reverend King of the Christian Praying Assembly.

The apex court upheld the judgement of the Lagos High Court and the Court of Appeal, ruling that the 20-year imprisonment is no longer necessary.

Justice Sylvester Ngwuta who read the lead judgement described the case as “what you see in a horror movie.”
