TVC E, SPORTS – The ongoing West and Central Africa juniors tennis championship in Abuja, has progressed into the knock out rounds.
Organised by the Confederation of African Tennis under the auspices of the International Tennis Federation, the cadet tournament provides a platform for Under 12, Under 14 and Under-16 players to compete for honours and qualify for the African Junior championship scheduled to serve off in March in South Africa.
Host country Nigeria and nine others, including Togo, Ghana, Cameroon, Tanzania and Gabon, are contending for slots.
The semi-finals have been slated for Friday while the final will be played on Saturday.
Talented players discovered at the championship will be groomed to stardom at the International tennis federation base in Casablanca, Morocco.
