TVC E. The Chief Executive Officer, 3A Auctions Limited, Abimbola Akingboye, has said that Nigerians are missing out on avenues of making so much money by holding on to unused items.
Rather than allow such items rot away, he advised owners to auction them off, raking in good money in the process.
In a statement announcing the delivery of an auctioned aircraft to its new owner in the United States, Akingboye pointed that assets no longer needed in one place are actually sought in other locations.
He said 3A Auctions was established to help create a meeting point between seller and buyer.
He stated, “We also want to let people know that auction pays off and it is also to bring solutions to the issue of unserviceable goods.
“I want to tell Nigerians that all those assets they are sitting on for years, someone, somewhere is actually looking for them.”
Speaking further, Akingboye revealed that the firm got a buyer for the jet the same day it was auctioned and that before the deal could be completed they had to bring in professionals to properly do relevant checks, so as to ensure the new owner got value for the money spent.
