Save us from land agents, Ota chiefs beg Amosun, Police

Traditional chiefs in Ota land, under the aegis of Olota in council have called on the State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun and the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu to come to their rescue as some hoodlums have been parading themselves as land agents to the former President Olusegun Obasanjo in a bid to fraudulently hijack their landed properties from them.

They noted that they have visited the former President at his hilltop home in Abeokuta and he has clarified himself from all the shady deals and urged them not to fold their arms and allow fraudsters take away their inheritance.

The chiefs now want the state government to invoke the recently passed anti land grabbing law on the suspected land speculators that have been terrorising them in some of their villages like Leshi, Sokenu, liasu among others.
