Lil Wayne actually tried to prevent his viral interview on ‘Black Lives Matter’ from seeing the light of day

It looks like Lil Wayne went into damage control mode way before his interview with Nightline hit the small screen by reportedly attempting to block ABC from airing the segment–especially his comments on the Black Lives Matter movement.

The rapper’s camp sent several emails to the network, demanding the interview to be removed. They claimed reporter, Linsey Davis asked questions that weren’t approved and continued to cross the line throughout the interview. Davis has been quiet about the interview, but ABC claimed: ‘nothing was off limits.’

Wayne’s views on the Black Lives Matter movement upset viewers the most when he failed to acknowledge their efforts in bringing unlawful police practices to light. He later apologised and explained questions about his lyrics and daughter Reginae Carter caused his blow up.
