Barely 24 hours to the Ogun Local government and Local Council Development Areas election, police has confirmed its full readiness to ensure water tight security in the state.
The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, Ahmed Iliyasu made this known while leading his men and officers of the other security agencies in the state in a show of force.
He noted that the significance of the exercise is to send signal to those who might want to cause trouble during the election to have a rethink as they will not spare anybody irrespective of class or social status.
Also the Police Community Relations Committee and the Committee for the defence of human rights in the state held a special sensitization programme for their members who will act as observers during the election.
The Police boss used the opportunity of the programme to reemphasized the roles of observers during the election.
