Fulani herdsmen kill two farmers in fresh Adawawa attack

Trouble is brewing again in Koh community at Girei Local Government Area of Adamawa State as Fulani herdsmen killed two farmers on Saturday night in a fresh attack.

Members of the community were said to have killed an unspecified number of Fulani herdsmen in self defence during the attack.

A community leader in Girei Mr Phineas Elisha described the incident as unfortunate stressing that one of the victims of the attack has been buried while the other had been deposited in the mortuary.

He explained that no fewer than 8 persons were rushed to hospitals at the state capital for various life threatening injuries they sustained.

Elisha however urged security agencies and stakeholders to wade into the matter in order to restore normalcy to the area.

Girei Local Government Area of Adamawa State has witnessed series of
attacks blamed on herdsmen.
