FG flags off digital broadcasting switchover in Jos

The federal government has flagged off the switchover from analogue television broadcasting to digital transmission in Jos, Plateau State capital.

Nigeria’s Minister of Information and culture, Lai Mohammed who chaired the occasion said the transfer, would boost the nation’s economy and afford citizens the right to information and knowledge.

He added that the platform presents a high resolution in images and clarity in sound, with a total of 15 channels which will be added to about 30, subsequently.
