Meta has acknowledged the problem and is diligently working to rectify the global outage on Instagram, which has rendered the platform inaccessible for many users. Reports of the outage surged on Downdetector.com, with nearly 6,000 incident reports received after 8:30 a.m. Within just thirty minutes, this number skyrocketed to over 11,000.
Fortunately, the issue was resolved shortly before 10 a.m., putting an end to the 90-minute period during which users were unable to refresh their feeds. Meta, the parent company, issued an apology for the inconvenience caused and reassured users that efforts are underway to fix the problem.
A spokesperson from Meta acknowledged the situation, stating, “We are aware that some people are experiencing difficulties accessing Instagram. We are actively working towards restoring normal functionality as quickly as possible and apologize for any inconvenience caused.”
